Classes & Programs -- Introductory & Consultation Class The Introductory & Consultation Class is an opportunity to see if training at Guardian Dragon Dojo is right for you. If you are looking for a huge fitness center or McDojo, then Guardian Dragon is not going to be the place for you. There are plenty of commercial dojo's, park district martial arts programs and large fitness centers located in the Champaign-Urbana area. However, if you are interested in learning Self Defense, Mixed Martial Arts, or Isshin-Ryu Karate, then training at Guardian Dragon Dojo through Private and Semi-Private Classes may be the right option for you. This one hour class is divided into 2 separate ½ hour sections; workout and consultation. The workout section takes you through a mini-class using the same format as a regular class. During this time you will be introduced to some of the drills and equipment (Makiwara, PVC "Wooden" Dummy, etc.) used while training at Guardian Dragon Dojo. The consultation section is used to discuss your martial arts goals and the various curriculum options available to help you reach those goals.
